Our Original Campus, Rooted in Philadelphia History
Jean Madeline Institute’s Queen Village campus is where it all began. Opened in 1987, this historic location is housed within a beautifully preserved, historically certified carriage house in one of Philadelphia’s most vibrant neighborhoods. The 11,000-square-foot campus features 62 professional styling stations and offers a learning environment that blends classic architecture with modern beauty education.
The Queen Village campus offers full-time Cosmetology, full-time Esthetics, and Cosmetology Teacher Training programs. Students learn in an intimate, character-rich setting that reflects both the heritage of the Institute and the creativity of the beauty industry today.
Conveniently located near public transportation and major highways, this campus is easily accessible while offering a true neighborhood feel. Nestled between Society Hill and South Philadelphia, Queen Village is known for its independent restaurants, unique boutiques, and walkable streets. Just a few blocks away is Philadelphia’s famous Fabric Row, home to generations of textile shops alongside curated vintage stores, specialty boutiques, and locally made goods.
This location gives students the opportunity to experience city life without the intensity of a busy downtown core, making it an ideal balance of inspiration, accessibility, and community.
Outside the main building, students can enjoy a dedicated outdoor space designed for lunch breaks, gathering, and connecting with classmates.
